Kevin Navoa is a Manila-born chef and co-owner of Hapag and Aya by Hapag in Rockwell, Makati — two of the country's most celebrated restaurants dedicated to championing Filipino cuisine through contemporary technique and cultural storytelling. What began as a private dining concept in 2017 has since grown into a One-Michelin-Star restaurant, with Hapag recognized for unlocking the potential of local ingredients while honoring regional recipes and time-honored methods. Together with his co-chef Thirdy Dolatre, they have built Hapag into something that feels less like a restaurant and more like a statement: Filipino food is cool.
