Binondo market

Binondo Chinatown in Manila is the oldest Chinatown in the world, founded in 1594, and a must-visit for authentic Chinese-Filipino street food. Highlights include the fried siopao from Shanghai Fried Siopao—fluffy steamed buns with a crispy bottom—and the kuchay ah pie from Quik Snack, a fried pastry stuffed with pork, tofu, and chives. Dong Bei Dumpling serves fresh pork and chive dumplings boiled to juicy perfection, while Lan Zhou La Mian offers hand-pulled beef lamien noodles made fresh to order. For sweets, Eng Bee Tin has been famous since 1912 for its ube hopia (purple yam pastries), best paired with an ube bubble milk tea from nearby Tea Brothers.
